poet acts - nothing is still

’Poet acts - nothing is still’ is a project about the meaning of touch and how it can be translated to dance. Poet acts stands for the daily actions we have towards each other through movement which might go unseen or taken for granted. In this project together with the artistic team we wanted to take this under exploration: what touches us daily and how does it translate physically?

The subtitle ’nothing is still’ came along the way from the concept of touch-be touched where it is possibly to master one touch to one big vibration and motion. ’Nothing is still’ suggests that tuning into listening to those tiny moments and subtle situations can have so much inside if we just give that time. 

Nothing is still is part of Antikainen's new line of research work "Poet acts" which delves deeper into the somatic being and the poetry of appreciating what it is through examining and exploring the body as an actual physical content and phenomenon.

The two-week exploration was shared as part of Tanz am Gleis - dance festival 11. and 12. of August 2022 at Kulturbahnhof, Kassel.
